System Information
How the System Works
Twelve independent city and county libraries plus nine academic library affiliates share their resources to provide better services to you. The North State Cooperative Library System provides library staffs with fax machines, computers, electronic mail and a delivery system to improve resource sharing.
The NSCLS Governing Body 2008/09
The director of every member library is on the Council of Librarians. The Council determines the policies, expenditures and objectives of the System.

Support
Grants to the North State Cooperative Library System are made by the Library Services and Technology Act and the California Library Services Act. You, too, support NSCLS every time you use its services.
System Advisory Board (SAB)
Each Cooperative Library System has an advisory board that is comprised of a representative from each public library member jurisdiction. Advisory board members are appointed by the jurisdiction from among its residents. The advisory board reviews System programs and services and offers citizen input for the Council's consideration.
